Speaker Topics:

Inside online communities: how businesses today are missing valuable touch points
Business organizations have natural communities within that contain valuable organizational knowledge and expertise.  New technology allows us to construct community platforms for sharing information in new, innovative ways that add value and open up business possibilities in unexpected ways.  As market challenges continue and more digital natives move into the workforce, setting up networking options inside the firewall positions you as a market innovator and an employer of choice in the future.

Broadcast from inside: the power of online internal communities within organizations
Companies are constantly searching for new, cost-effective ways to communicate effectively to their constituents.  Online communities, cyber networks and virtual teamwork are forcing more and more electronic communications.  These virtual environments require different things from users and leaders – new approaches and new skills to yield higher value.

Leading high-powered teams in today’s virtual workplace: what does it take?
Managing employees that are not physically present in one location is more the norm then the exception in business today.  This new reality requires creative new leadership skills that are strikingly different from traditional office workplaces.

Working on high-powered teams in today’s virtual workplace: what does it take?
Working virtually takes a great deal of self-discipline and a high level of comfort with technology (among other things).  High performing virtual teams possess a specific set of skills that make their work life more productive and increase team member effectiveness.

The virtual workforce: how to use technology to enable high performing teams
Evolving technology is the glue that allows virtual interaction in today’s world.  But people hate new things and are reluctant to adopt new tools under the best of circumstances.  Choosing tools that are right for the constituents and designing an adoption strategy that addresses the organizational culture, can make the difference between success and failure.

The virtual employee: what they look like, how they work, how to lead them, how to be one
As the  world continues to move towards flexible, virtual work arrangements; candidate profiles must evolve as well.  New skills required to function effectively in this new environment differ greatly from more traditional work settings.  Companies that understand those differences will experience higher level productivity gains and position themselves to become the employers-of-choice tomorrow.

Creating a professional brand using virtual tools for perpetual professional success
In today’s world jobs are changeable and transitory.  Maintaining an active, engaged professional network is a requirement for good career planning.  The rise in online networking has transformed professional networking into a rich, virtual experience allowing talented workers and motivated employers broader access to a global pool of talent.

Using transitions to grow your organization, taking advantage of change
Times of great turmoil are often the moment organizations of any size are most ripe for productive change.  Re-thinking major transitions as positive opportunities allows senior leaders to capitalize on the inevitable and gain long-term advantage.

The power of 12 minutes: success and safety in a social networked world
The internet provides a powerful broadcasting platform for almost anyone today – entrepreneurs, professionals in transition and even corporate executives.  Hear the story of how a mere 12 minutes launched a successful career re-invention into a digital age.

What’s the big deal about going online anyway?
For elementary and middle school children – a frank discussion about the ways kids can safely navigate the internet, learn how to function productively and follow appropriate etiquette online.

Preparing our children for a safer life in an online world
For parents, teachers and any adult who cares about kids – a frank discussion about the online world our children play in now and will inhabit in their working future.

De-mystifying social media and online living for baby boomers and non-digital natives
Much of the hype surrounding Web 2.0 extols the virtues and vices associate with online use.  This is a practical view of the eco-system – its current/future uses, advantages and limitations for business or professional use.
